On the morning of Sunday, February 21, 2021, the Sirvas family lost their hero from an unexpected and tragic illness. Wilford Erick Sirvas passed away from COVID-19. Erick fought valiantly for weeks but the virus could not be stopped. Although his family was unable to physically be with him, they surrounded him with their love and support the only way they were allowed, by a video conference.
Erick was born in Nepeña, Province of Santa, department of Ancash, Peru on July 9th, 1949 and grew up in the city of Chimbote. Erick was the most caring and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be forever in our hearts.
For the past 25 years, he enjoyed working as a senior computer technician with CTSS, Inc. Erick loved his CTSS family as if they were his own.
Erick enjoyed life! He loved get-togethers with family and friends and was the life of the party. He enjoyed traveling to visit with loved ones but also liked exploring new destinations. Whether going on vacation, trying out a new restaurant, making a run to a big box store, or providing computer services to his clients, he quickly made friends wherever he went. He was very active and always working on a home improvement project of some kind. He especially loved helping his family with their projects and he was always there when they needed him.
Erick is survived by his devoted wife, Angie (his Preciosa); his four children, Giovanna (Henrique), Karina (Carlos), Erick (Maryann), Miluska (Yee); his seven grandchildren (who knew him as “Pepo”) Sebastian & Sabrina, Gianna & Julianna, Liam, Milena & Athena. Erick is also survived by his sister, Margoth, and his three brothers, Harold, Pepe, and Jorge.
Due to COVID-19 and for everyone’s safety, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Inova Health Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
