Todd R Heintze, 63, left this earthly plane for a new adventure on 14 April 2020. Born in California, raised in New England, transplanted to Virginia, Todd was a bon vivant, raconteur, mechanical genius, unapologetic prankster. “Moderation in all things” was antithetical to Todd’s philosophy. Beautifully written! Todd is greatly missed. He was an amazing bonus dad and bonus granddad to us all. Amazing, funny, and adventurous in every way. I still remember when he was eating tomato soup while watching a movie called the Living Dead! He certainly brought us out of our city living comfort zone by introducing to fishing, camping, gardening, and more...and the bugs that came with it...and I was not a fan of bugs and critters but he noticed when I was getting more comfortable in the rugged outdoors...lol! He is the reason we had our amazing dog Paya (a reason I LOVE Dobermans today) who could say please and balance food on her nose...he could train animals with the best of them. We miss him dearly and he definitely was a blessing to all our of lives. I am glad he found the love of his life in my mother and he would her all the time. I married a man that loves me like he loved my mother Georgette. His mother Alma told me he loved my big brother Quinn, my twin sister Celeste, his bonus son Johnny, and myself plus all of our children. We appreciate the mark he made in our lives and so grateful for the skills and lessons he taught us! I just hope me made him proud!

Sorry to hear about this. Todd was a very nice guy and to see that he left us so soon is disappointing. I'm sorry for your loss and I hope he's in a better place now.

I miss you a lot. I am sorry that life got in the way and I didn't get to see you that much. I remember one time when you introduced Johnny and Antwuan as your grandkids and peoples faces were like "huh". It was epic. I can't believe your gone.

Todd, we think of you all the time. We miss you not being here. Thank you so much for the amazing times! Thanks for teaching us to fish, fix cars, ice skate and every fun thing imaginable that a city kid may not have tried. Thanks for teaching me how to cook. Thanks for the lessons and thanks for the love. Eventhough we were not biologically your children, you treated us as if we were. Thanks for showing love to our grandchildren Johnny, Antwuan and Kiara! We love you and miss you. It was hard losing you this year. Wish we could have had longer.
