Steven Garland Edsinger died at his home in Alexandria, VA on June 2, 2023 at age 64 under the loving care of his wife, Elizabeth, of 24 years.
He was born on May 13, 1959 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Robert Eugene Edsinger and Sally Ford Brooks, and step-son of Marie S. Edsinger. Steve graduated from Magruder High School, Derwood, MD in the class of 1977. Following graduation he had a long career working in the print and copy industry, most recently employed by Meridian Imaging Solutions, a Konica Minolta Company.
Steve will always be remembered as a kind, loving, and compassionate person who brightened the lives of everyone who knew him. His contagious smile and magnetic personality made him easy to be around. There was never a person who didn’t like Steve. He was easy going, a hard worker and super smart.
Steve was a giver. He was eager to help his friends and family with anything, including fixing or building things. Like his father, he was very talented in many areas but very humble about his skills.
Throughout his life, Steve made countless friendships and touched numerous hearts. He had a passion for the water – he loved to vacation on a lake or by the shore. He was a work hard and get things done kind of guy who really earned those beach vacations.
Steve was someone who was always there for his family, friends, and community. He believed in helping others and his compassion knew no bounds. Whether someone needed moral support or a helping hand, Steve was always there to lend his support.
Steve was a beloved husband, brother, son, step-dad, uncle, and friend to many. While we grieve his passing, and this was way too early, we must remember the wonderful memories and experiences that he brought into our lives. We will never forget his kindness, his positivity, his joy for life, and his unwavering love for those around him.
Steve is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Monday Edsinger, Brothers David Edsinger (Judy Briley), Michael Edsinger (Maria Turner) and Sister Jennifer Tygielski (David Tygielski).
