On December 9, God, our Lord, elevated the soul of Sonia García Bacó
(formerly Sonia Batiz Ortiz) to Heaven so she can run free of pain in Paradise.

At the time of Sonia’s departure, she was home and in company of her son
Eduardo, his wife Su, daughter Nadya, husband Ryan, and Luis E., her husband of
41 years.

Sonia is the mother of Eduardo L. García Batiz and Nadya C. García Batiz.
And, “Abuela” (grandmother) of Rocco Austin Luis, Mila Annaleis, Natalia Jade,
and Lara Cristina.

On February 25, 1957, Sonia was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico, to Elba I. Ortiz
Laracuente and the late Luis Batiz Ortiz. Sonia was sister to Elba, Emma
(deceased), Ricardo, and Rene. And, aunt of many nieces and nephews.

In November 1979, after graduating with a Degree in Biology from the
University of Puerto Rico – Mayagé
