On August 31, 2023, Mary Jane Viveros passed peacefully away in her sleep. She was 74 years old.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, she became a Registered Nurse and a Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps. Mary Jane was later promoted to Captain, U.S. Army Nurse Corp.
Mary Jane became a Physician Assistant, then a certified & licensed PA, where she worked in the medical/nursing field for 50 years.
Mary Jane is survived by her son Thaddeus (Ted), granddaughter, Hailey, step-son Luis, Jr., her sister and 3 brothers and many family members and friends who she had befriended especially in her later years at Sommerset Retirement Community. She was forever grateful to her friends Candy and Mary and their families for all the lifelong assistance and care they provided her.
A brief service for Mary Jane will be held at Quantico National Cemetery on September 28, 2023.
Please arrive at 18424 Joplin Rd., Triangle, Va. 22172 no later than 10:30 am and park in Lane B.
After the service, we will have a Dutch lunch (pay for your own lunch) at Cracker Barrel
located at 17115 Dumfries Rd., Dumfries, Va. 22025 to celebrate her life.
