James R. Kinsey, Jr. “Bub”, age 61, a resident of Lorton, VA, passed away on August 2, 2020, at the INOVA Mt. Vernon Hospital, Alexandria, VA.
He was born on June 22, 1959, in Alexandria, VA., to James R. Kinsey and Sarah Virginia Brown.
Bub graduated from Edison High School in 1977. During high school and afterwards he worked numerous jobs, but then came upon his trade as an auto painter. For over 30 years he painted cars, he was very meticulous and loved his work.
Bub was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing and was a member of the Eagle Anglers for many years. He also loved deer hunting and the camaraderie of camping with his fellow friends and hunters. And as much as he loved fishing and hunting, he loved vacationing in the Bahamas.
Bub had an infectious smile and those that met him couldn’t help but like him. His sense of humor was witty and humorous and his laugh was one to remember.
Bub is survived by his wife, Laurene “Rene”; his father, James R. Kinsey; his sisters, Pamela Nichols, Tracey Jurek, Patricia Kinsey and Dawn Kinsey; his nieces and nephews; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; his many aunts and uncles; his numerous cousins; and his countless friends.
His mother, S. Virginia “Ginny” Wolfe, and sister, Kathy Ann Harris, predeceased him.
His Celebration of Life Ceremony has been postponed due to COVID-19. In the meantime, please share your memories of Bub through the Northern Virginia Burial & Cremation website or his Facebook page.
