Iris Virginia Toledo de Silva, 97, of Callao, Peru, died on July 7, 2022, after a long active and happy life. She was born in Callao, Peru on June 3, 1925, she was the fifth of six children all girls born to the late Ana Carrillo Toledo and Luis Toledo. Iris a long time widow of the late Antonio Silva Morales and she is survived by her five children, Iris Durand, Guillermo Silva, Antonio Silva, Catalina Del Castillo and Giovanna Lowe; grandchildren: Carolina Silva, Jenny Crevoisier, Dennis Durand, Junior Silva, Roberto Silva, Milagros Silva, Paul Silva, Connie Wine, Carita Champagne, Christine Lowe and Ashley Lowe. Her great grandchildren; Samantha, Michael, Luis David, Jonathan, Justin, Stella, Oliver, Sophia, Mason, Caden, Brooks, Matias, Rafael, Adrian, Alicia, Gabriella y Camila.
Iris was a dedicated wife and to her children, she loved her children more than words can explain, and then puzzles, crosswords, traveling and she was amazing in remembering everybody’s birthdays, if it was your birthday you’d get a birthday card from her, and if you were local you’d get a phone call singing the birthday song.
Our mother will be in our hearts forever until we meet again.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, August 8th at 10:30am, at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, VA 20110 follow by her funeral at the Benedictine Sisters of Virginia The Place of Peace Columbarium.
