Doris Larson passed away on April 25, 2020, in Arlington, Virginia, at the age of 96. The cause was cancer of the biliary tract.
She was the daughter of Rudolph and Irma Kramer and had two siblings, Rudolph and Ethel.
She was predeceased in 2007 by her husband of 60 years Wallace R. Larson.
She is survived by her three children, Rolfe, Kristin, and Nels and by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and by a step-grandchild.
Doris was born in Detroit, Michigan, and lived in Michigan for most of her life. She lived in Washington State for about 4 years, which she enjoyed, and lived the last 2 years of her life as a resident in Vinson Hall in McLean, Virginia.
For many years Doris was a homemaker, but she spent a significant amount of time as a legal secretary with the Bellanca firm in Detroit. When she returned to Michigan, she was an office manager of Speedy ing until her retirement.
She was an excellent knitter and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and talking politics. She was a local organizer for polio vaccination in the 1950s.
