Daniel Charles Brubacher, born on August 19, 1941, in Leonardtown Maryland, passed away on March 31, 2024, in Alexandria Virginia. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Daniel was the beloved son of Werner John Brubacher and Marguerite Elizabeth Brubacher, and he is now reunited with them in eternal peace. He was also preceded in death by his brother John Brubacher, and nephew Michael Perigo.
On September 25, 1965, in Arlington Virginia, Daniel married the love of his life, Norma Miller. Their union of 58 years was filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Norma survives him, along with their children: Lisa Bluntzer, Darren Brubacher and Matthew Brubacher, grandchildren Garrett Bluntzer, Ryan Bluntzer, Dayle Brubacher and Nicholas Brubacher, and his sisters Mary Jane Brubacher, Agnes Hardcastle, and Johanna Malone.
A skilled Auto Body Technician by profession, Daniel poured his heart and soul into his work until his retirement in 2011. Outside of work, he was an avid outdoorsman who found solace in hunting, fishing, and cheering on his favorite NASCAR drivers.
Known for his humble nature, compassionate heart, and generous spirit, Daniel touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The service to honor and celebrate Daniel’s life will be held at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home on Cameron Street in Alexandria, VA, on April 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
