It's hard to say goodbye when someone was part of your family for over 50 years. Of course I remember and will miss Celio's exuberant love of life and friends, his extravagant love for his family. Yet one trivial incident keeps coming to mind: back when I was a teenager, seldom having two nickels to jingle, he had noticed my beat up TR3 had a broken taillight, and without a word provided a replacement the next day. Thanks, Celio. Love to Nancy and all the de Moraes clan.

I will miss my beloved brother-in-law. Andy and I still talk about the wonderful time Celio, Nancy and our nephews were here in Port Townsend. We loved having everyone in our home. One morning Celio walked into the kitchen announcing "I love life!" That is how we remember our warm & loving brother. All our love to our family.

Dear Nancy and family, My heart goes to you at this extremely difficult time. Although I never met Celio, he sounds like one of the best Brazil offers. A person of high, positive spirits, warm soul and great intelligence. I have known many like him in Brazil which still gives me hope for our native country . I am glad Celio has left great children to represent him (and you) in this world, a place that needs so much love and help right now. Thank you, Celio, and you of course. May you all have peace in your hearts and lots of memories to talk and laugh about. Much love to you from an old (and new) friend.

My family and I have heavy hearts and wonderful memories of Celio. He was considered a brother by me and all of my family that new him. He brought joy to my 3 daughters when he came to their weddings. His humour and friendship were a blessing for us all. May God bless him and Nancy and his sons.
