Carol Ann Willis (neé Roden), 66, of Chesapeake, VA, passed away peacefully in the afternoon of October 23, 2020 surrounded by her family in Alexandria, VA following a brief battle with cancer.
She was born to Charles and Betty Roden (neé Patterson) in Denver, Colorado, where she spent her life until her marriage to her late husband, Robert, in 1978, which brought her to Florida and Missouri before she and her family finally settled in Chesapeake, Virginia.
Carol spent her life as a dedicated Wife, Mother, and Grandmother and also took immense pride in her professional career and the quality with which she performed her work. Carol loved watching her children and grandchildren grow up, attending as many of their sporting, school, and extracurricular events as she could. She never tired of helping others, no matter who they were, and provided a true example of what a woman should be for anyone who paid attention.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents, and her granddaughter Madison and is survived by her children, Sarah and Jeremiah (Francesca) and her grandchildren.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, memorial services will be held in Chesapeake, VA at a future date when it is safe again for us to gather to celebrate her life. The family would like to say a special thanks to those extended family and friends who have supported and advised the family during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
