Carol C. Ferris
Carol C. Ferris, 84 formally of Aiken, SC and recently of Springfield, Virginia passed away April 27, 2024 at Greenspring Village. Born September 30, 1939 in Rochester, New York. She was the daughter of the late James and Avis (Pratt) Place. She is preceded in death by her brother Robert Place, sister Patricia (Place) Lyng and closest and much-loved twin brother Charles P. Place. Carol leaves behind her devoted husband of 63 years, Ronald E. Ferris, daughter and son-in-law Cynthia and John Osborn, son Bryan Ferris, grandchildren Matthew and wife Julie Osborn, Caroline Osborn, Caryn Osborn and three precious great granddaughters, Everleigh Osborn, Josephine Osborn and Elizabeth Osborn as well as several nieces and nephews. Carol graduated from Rochester Business Institute and spent her career working in numerous hospitals and medical offices and later was self-employed providing business and consulting services to small businesses. She was an avid bridge player, skilled seamstress and loved to cross stitch. Carol enjoyed many sporting events and was an avid fan of NY Giants football. A private family service will be held at a later date with internment at Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal, New York.
