James Lynn Clark, age 77, of Alexandria, VA, passed away November 6, 2025, at Virginia Hospital Center after recent illness.James was born on July 18, 1948, in Houston, Mississippi, to the late Maline Clarkand Leon Clark who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his husband, John Wootten of Alexandria, VA; his first cousins, T.J. Colburn, Jr., (Nola) of Houston, MS and Ann Maravolo of Fort Myers, FL;his niece, Dyana Pearson of Las Vegas, NV and his great niece, Athena Perera of Bastrop, TX.
James grew up in Houston, Mississippi and graduated from Houston High School in1966. He attended Mississippi State University and received a B. S. Degree inBusiness Management in 1974.
James excelled in his business career which began in Memphis, Tennessee, in1974 working for General Electric Corporation. From G.E. he went to work for International Harvester where he became a District Business Manager. Eventually,James accepted a job with Kubota Tractor Corporation in 1994. His dedication and hard work were rewarded with promotions and several overseas trips including Portugal and Japan. James retired in 2015 as a Regional Sales Manager for Kubota.
James was a hard worker all his life, but James will best be remembered as a kind, friendly person who loved his family and friends, his neighbors, and his little dachshund, “Harry Putter”. He enjoyed cooking, entertaining and spending time with his many friends in the Atlanta and DC areas. James was truly a Southern gentleman and will be missed by all who knew him.
No funeral service will be held at this time. His ashes will be interred in the familycemetery in Houston, Mississippi at a later date.
