Andrea Procter

July 2, 1958 - October 11, 2020

Andrea Renee’ Williams-Procter, lived a full and blessed life and passed away on October 11, 2020 in Lorton, VA in home hospice. Andrea was born on 2 July 1958 in Tampa, FL to Floyd Williams and Frankie Chapman. In 1976 she graduated from Chamberlain High School in Tampa and attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL, where she studied and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education. Commissioned an Army Officer through ROTC, Andrea served our nation as an active duty officer, where she met and married Hank (Webster) Procter. For over 36 years her love and compassion filled the hearts and souls of all who experienced her presence. She was a kind and thoughtful person who left those she encountered enriched.

I’ll repeat what my daughter said, “The world is still turning and somehow life is going on, and so will we, but we want to call Andrea and tell her how abnormal every “normal” day is without her”. Andrea was truly a loving soul, who was always kind, thoughtful, caring and strong, always optimistic, no matter the circumstance. We will miss her humor, her smile and the cute little giggle when something was so funny her eyes and nose crinkled on the edges and tears filled her eyes. Her zest for life was boundless as was the love and dedication she had for her family and friends.

She was our first best friend and even though her love will always be with us, we will miss her. She is survived by her husband Hank, her two children, Jacqueline Renee’ and William Alexander, sisters and brothers, her father, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends.

Due to COVID-19 safety concerns, there will be no in-person memorial services. Andrea will be cremated and upon approval her ashes will be interred/inurned at an appropriate location. When that celebration of her wonderful life will be held is yet to be determined. Acknowledgements may be sent to Hank Procter, 8501 Barrow Furnace Lane, Lorton, VA 22079.

I am so sorry for your loss. Andrea always brought a smile to my face when I saw her and she made my day a little bit brighter. She always did what she could to be helpful, and always did it with kindness. There are people in the world who are genuinely good and Andrea was one of them. She left the world a little bit better by all the people she touched. She will be missed and remembered. My thoughts are with all of you.

I have so many fond memories of Andrea, always smiling and willing to help me whenever I needed it. I was so saddened when I heard the news. Please know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Andrea was a kind and special person, I'm glad I had the opportunity to work with her and get to know her. She will be missed.

Dear Hank, Jacqueline, and William, I have been thinking of you since I learned about Andrea's health. Whenever and I mean whenever I saw Andrea - both of us smiled as wide as possible. What a caring and kind person she was. I could always count on her competence and her ability to connect with others. She will be missed! My deepest condolences go out to all of you.

Andrea was so helpful! I could always count on her to help me get my computer needs fixed or just talk about life. It doesn't seem fair that she worked so hard and didn't have the chance to enjoy her retirement. Hopefully she's enjoying her dance party in the sky, now. She'll be missed!

RIP my dear Friend. I will miss our conversations we used to have over at your school site. I will miss your smiles and your humor. I know you are safe now, no more pain and eternal happiness

I worked with Andrea...not directly, but spoke with her on the phone numerous times concerning work. She would stop by my desk when she came to my building and we would chit-chat. I loved her smile and she brought a smile to my face the second I saw her come into the office. I will miss our chats in person and on the phone. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

I've worked with Andrea for several years in FCPS. She was a great person with a big heart. My prayers goes out to the Procter Family. May God bless you and provide comfort to your family.

Andrea was a wonderful woman. She was my coworker for nearly 20 years and a beautiful friend. She had recently made sure that I had her personal number so that we could keep up with each other after her retirement. In our last phone conversation, she told me she was pulling up to the window at Burger King to order dinner and she would call me back, but sadly, that call never took place. I am devastated at the news of her passing, but still trusting God in His infinite wisdom that she is in a better place. My vision of her retirement and spending time spoiling her grandkids is shattered, but God's vision for her retirement is so much better than mine. So I say so long my friend until we meet again. I am praying for all the members and friends whose lives you so richly blessed in your time here. The kind, optimistic, sweet. and loving spirit that you were was truly not in vain.

She was a beautiful person and angel in my life and I will miss her dearly. We never think when we see someone it could be the last time so always tell them you love them. Keep your family close and tell them you love them in her memory. Itu2019s Godu2019s will and we will meet again. Love you family!
