Tom was a selfless, thoughtful man with a heart of gold who treasured his family and friends.
He always had time to listen and could talk with you for hours. Tom was one-
of-a-kind and not someone you would soon forget. Whenever he was around others there was sure to be plenty of laughter and interesting conversation.
He had fond memories of his time in the Boy Scouts and later helped young Scouts enjoy the
experience as well. Tom explored different careers over the years in the Air Force and
IT but found working with his hands and being outside most enjoyable. Tom loved
animals and found great fulfillment later in life by caring for stray cats.
A family memorial service will take place at a later date. Those planning an expression
of sympathy may wish to consider donations to 4Paws Rescue Team, Inc., Merrifield,
VA, or the Humane Society.
