Skylar Kovack

Skylar David Kovack, 55, of Alexandria, Virginia passed away at home surrounded by family on Saturday, January 7, 2023. Skylar was born to Dennis and Patricia Kovack in Washington, DC on July 10th, 1967.

Skylar attended Gar-Field High School where he played football. He spent many decades as a dedicated logistical engineer. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing with grandchildren, camping, watching NASCAR, listening to music, and grilling at home.

Skylar is survived by his wife, Janine Henderson Kovack, his children Megan (Grey) Smith, Rebecca (Chris) Olson, Skylar (Alyx) Kovack, Colin Chatfield, Susan Chatfield, Tiffany Chatfield, sisters Tonya Kovack and Pami Drake, 12 grandchildren and other extended family. Skylar is preceded in death by his Father (Dennis W. Kovack), Mother (Patricia S. Kovack), and brother (Christopher J. Kovack).

Skylar was a beloved husband, father, and son. A memorial service will be held on January 25, 2023 at 11 am at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Fort Hunt, Virginia. See links below for Skylar’s service.
