Kamla was born in Karachi (then British India), moved to India after its independence, and emigrated to New Jersey in 1968. She was the third of seven children born to Naraindas and Durupati Mirchandani. She worked in India’s Government Post Office and finished her career with Howard Bank in Newark, NJ.
Kamla’s gifts in life were a triumvirate of spirituality, honesty, and gentleness. She blended these values in caring for family, friends, and everyone she met. She loved her children unconditionally, teaching them the importance of self-worth. She thoroughly enjoyed her brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews at every opportunity. Kamla traveled worldwide, underscoring our innumerable blessings in life. Her firm belief, “God is great” served as a guiding principle through life’s challenges.
We invite all to join us in prayers for our Mom and her family. Godspeed.
