With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Ron Jones (Unit 1102) on February 29, 2024. Ron departed this world in home hospice under the care of his sister Karen Jones and his husband Brian Lee. Ron was predeceased in 2019 by his twin brother, Joseph Donald “Don” Jones.
In his professional life, Ron made many colleagues and friends while working for the IRS, where his work ethic and deep integrity gained recognition and awards from top leadership. His friends consider Ron one of the very best people they have ever known. His calm presence and true strength of character made him one of a kind. He was a devoted husband, son, and brother, and “daddy” to a puggle, Abbie. Ron loved all dogs, and all dogs loved Ron. Ron was fiercely loyal to his friends and never turned down a request for help.
Over the years, he has comforted many others who were experiencing what we feel now for him and for our loss.
Ron will be interred in a private ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.
