Felicia E. Jackson, age 52, passed away on December 30, 2020 at Mt. Vernon
Hospital in Alexandria, VA after a long period of illness.
She was born April 14, 1968, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Mary (Goings-Jordan)
Hollins and the late Obediah Jordan. She was a 1986 graduate of Mt. Vernon High
School where she was voted best dressed by her senior class. She attended Northern Virginia Community College as a criminal justice
major. At the beginning of her career she was a District of Columbia police officer
then worked her way up the career ladder to become a District of Columbia
detective in which she loved very much. After 17 plus years she retired from the
DC police department.
Felicia truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like chatting with
family and friends. She really enjoyed spending time with her children, Octavia
and Autumn, especially long periods of time chatting and hanging out with her
youngest daughter Eva. She also enjoyed talking, visiting all of the casinos, playing
bingo, and playing games on her cell phone. She was a regular on Facebook and
watched Tik Tok. She was very excited and surprised to see her daughter Autumn
on Tik Tok. She would also see her other daughter Octavia on Facebook. It made
her very happy to be able to keep up with her children on social media. She also
spent time on Sunday mornings attending virtual church services.
In addition to her parent, Mary Hollins, she is survived by her big sister Michelle
Vinson (Dwayne) of MD; her three children, Octavia Jackson, Autumn Jackson,
and Eva Jackson; one granddaughter, Chanel McKnight; one uncle, William Goings
(Gloria) of Southerland, VA; cousins, and other relatives and friends who loved
Felicia very much.
The family appreciates all of the prayers and concerns extended to us during this
time.
