Elnora Dooms Boe

Elnora Dooms Boe, 90, of Washington, DC passed away Monday,
Oct 13, 2025, surrounded by family.

She was born and raised on a farm near St. Charles, Arkansas. She
began her working career in the Jefferson County Dept of
Agriculture and was instrumental in administering farm programs.
Elnora came to the Washington, DC area with the Clinton
administration and continued her career as an Area Director at
USDA. She was recognized by both local and federal government
with numerous awards for her exceptional work in farm programs.
She loved “field” visits to farms and farmers appreciated both her
knowledge and her kindness toward them.

After her retirement from the Federal Government, she embarked
another one of her passions – tax preparation. She achieved
“Enrolled Agent” status and was a much loved instructor at HR
Block. She supported the advancement of many “tax pros” during
and outside of tax season. She will be greatly missed by a large
community of tax preparers as well as her incredibly loyal base of
tax clients.

Everyone who knew Elnora appreciated her love of fashion and
beauty. She had a “side” career at Mary Kay cosmetics where she
rose to the office of sales director and helped countless friends and
clients to look their best.
She received wonderful care from Georgetown Hospital doctors and
nurses.

She is survived by her loving son, Ronald Dooms, who was always
by her side supporting her throughout her various careers. She is
also survived by many family and friends.
